This group specializes in the Mission Critical industry and serves many of the top Information Technology companies as an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, and construction managers working on the design of data centers and telecommunications facilities.

Our projects require creativity to address problems and design solutions in highly functional and operational buildings. If you enjoy thinking outside the box, defining new innovative ways to address problematic spaces, this might just be the position for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with Project Architects, Engineers and Construction Managers to provide innovative design solutions to projects during all phases of design
  • Interface with clients, owners and contractors
  • Design air-side mechanical systems, including DX and chilled water AHU’s, ductwork sizing, and computer room air-handline units.
  • Design water-side mechanical systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and piping
  • Provide HVAC load calculations
  • Responsible for project phasing plans including temporary measures to maintain services in our client’s live facilities
  • Facilitate facility evaluations, engineering studies, and trouble shooting
  • Train, coach and mentor less experienced staff

What You Bring
  • BS in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • Must be a Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer in at least one state.

  • At least 10 years of related experience with at least 2 years of data center mechanical design experience.

  • AutoCAD, Revit and BIM360 experience a plus, but not required

  • Organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Interest in working in a collaborative team environment

• Ability to perform site walks in active facilities, including navigating mechanical rooms, rooftops, ladders, and equipment areas.

• Capability to travel between job sites and client facilities as needed.

Travel

This position may require occasional overnight travel depending on project locations and client needs.
