Job description

Las Vegas, Nevada
The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a place full of excitement, diversity, and entertainment? Are you enthusiastic about being a team player in one of the most fascinating industries in the world? At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.
THE JOB:
The Post-Production Producer is responsible for managing the post-production lifecycle of MGM Resorts' visual media projects, seamlessly taking ownership of campaigns following the completion of principal photography. This role acts as the central operational hub for the post-production phase, managing schedules, review loops, and deliverables to drive projects through editing, color, sound, and finishing. By owning the stakeholder review process and final quality control, the Post-Production Producer ensures all assets are delivered on time, on brand, and to exact technical specifications, allowing field producers to transition immediately to their next shoot.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Post-Production Project Management: Build and manage detailed post-production schedules, tracking milestones from the initial post-kickoff through rough cuts, fine cuts, picture lock, and final delivery, ensuring internal editors and retouchers hit all deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Routing & Review Loops: Act as the primary point of contact during the editing phase, routing cuts to Creative Directors, Marketing stakeholders, and Legal. Consolidate, decipher, and translate stakeholder feedback into clear, actionable notes for the editing and retouching tea
  • Project Turnover & Ingestion: Lead the formal hand-off process from the Shoot Producer one to two weeks post shoot, ensuring all raw media, project briefs, scripts, and delivery matrices are properly ingested and organized before post-production begins
  • Technical Finishing & Quality Control: Oversee the final finishing process (color grading, sound mixing, VFX, and motion graphics) and perform rigorous Quality Control to ensure all final files meet MGM Resorts' strict brand, broadcast, and digital specifications
  • Final Delivery & Asset Management: Manage the complex delivery matrix of exporting multiple aspect ratios, cut-downs, and localizations. Ensure all final master files, project files, and raw media are properly tagged, ingested, and archived into the enterprise Digital Asset Management system
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with the Director of Visual Production, who oversees the craft of the editors, and the Senior Media Producers, who oversee the overall campaign budget, to ensure post-production resources are utilized efficiently
  • External Vendor Management: Coordinate with external post-production vendors, such as freelance editors, specialized VFX artists, music licensing houses, or audio mixing studios, when internal resources reach capacity, ensuring external deliverables meet internal standards

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • The ideal candidate is a highly organized operational partner with over five years of prior relevant experience in creative production, post-production, or content operations, ideally supported by a bachelor's degree.
  • They possess a proven track record of managing photo and video deliverables from post-production through final delivery, with a deep understanding of technical workflows including editing, color, retouching, audio finishing, versioning, QC, and digital asset handoff standards. A natural coordinator, this individual excels at managing editorial timelines, review cycles, and complex deliverables across multiple stakeholders and asset types.
  • Having thrived in fast-paced, high-volume environments-ideally within hospitality, entertainment, gaming, or lifestyle sectors-they are adept at collaborating directly with producers, editors, retouchers, and creative stakeholders.
  • They demonstrate an exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, handle shifting priorities, and maintain flawless organization, communication, and attention to detail under tight deadlines to ensure our premier brand standards are consistently met.

THE PERKS & BENEFITS:
  • Comprehensive wellness programs designed to support employees' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Exclusive access to company-sponsored discounts across hospitality, dining, retail, entertainment, travel, technology, and a wide range of partner offerings.
  • Complimentary parking both during and outside of scheduled work hours.
  • Competitive health, wellness, and income protection benefits for eligible employees.
  • Ongoing professional growth and career development through leadership programs, learning opportunities, strategic networking, and community engagement initiatives
