Position: Embroidery Production Trimmer and Packer
Work Location: Madison Heights, MI 48071
Payrate: $18.60/hr
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: (Mon - Fri) 6:30am - 3:30pm
Dress Code: casual
 
Job Description:
Responsible for preparing garments, running machines, cleaning and trimming, and packaging.
 
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
  • Cleans, irons, packages, and prepares clothing for delivery to customers.
  • Communicate with supervisor on a continual basis regarding production and schedule.
  • Prepares, loads, and unloads garments on and off the equipment.
  • Set up art files and operate embroidery equipment.
  • Assists in other areas of business as needed.
Nature and Scope:
  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeking advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
Work Environment:
  • Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
  • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly require lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate to heavy weight (8-40 pounds).
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
