Job description

Schedule:

  • 3x12 hour Day shifts (7:00am-7:00pm)
  • Preference for 48 hours per week, 36 hours also accepted
  • Every fourth weekend required (12-hour shifts)
  • One overnight trauma call (11:00pm-7:00am); additional specialty team call assigned per schedule
Responsibilities:
  • Support a Level 1 trauma operating room environment with a 1:1 patient-to-tech ratio
  • Prepare, maintain, and operate a variety of advanced technologies (Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot)
  • Ensure strict adherence to all sterilization and safety protocols
  • Collaborate efficiently with a large, multidisciplinary surgical team
  • Demonstrate flexibility in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
  • Rotate call duties as assigned for trauma and specialty teams
Qualifications:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the operating room, with Level 1 trauma exposure
  • Familiarity with advanced specialties preferred: General, GU/GYN, Ortho Trauma, Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular
  • Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records (Epic experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills; punctual, accountable team player
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a busy healthcare environment
