Nurse Practitioner - Crisis Care Center
Renown Healthis northern Nevada's largest and only locally owned, not-for-profit integrated health network committed to meeting the health and wellness needs of our growing community and serving the surrounding Lake Tahoe and northeast California regions. Renown serves a population in excess of 750,000 in a 17-county area in northern Nevada, the Lake Tahoe area and northeastern California, and welcomes patients from 29 referring rural hospitals in a vast and isolated 80,000-square-mile catchment area. We are proud to be home to the area's only Children's Hospital providing care and support locally to our area's children.
We are seeking a PMHNP - Nurse Practitioner interested in the Behavioral Health field to join our team at Renown Health's new Crisis Care Center. This center will provide assistance and resources to individuals in our community who are experiencing mental health challenges and crises.

Position Details:
  • Full-Time employed position with Renown Medical Group as a Provider
  • Dedicated Team: NPs, RNs, LCSW, Peer Support Specialists, & Security Officer
  • Meet a significant community need and improve access to mental health and addiction treatment by connecting adults to the right care.
  • Reduce the number of adult psychiatric and addiction patients being treated in Renown Emergency Departments to open beds for other individuals with medical needs.
  • Maintain communication with patients treated at Crisis Care Center for at least one year to track recidivism and progress of care coordination.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Formal Academic Affiliation with University of Nevada, Reno School Medicine/Renown

Position Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • 2-years minimum experience as an RN required.
    • 1-year of clinical experience preferred as a Nurse Practitioner.
    • Prior experience in the Behavioral Health field or interest in Behavioral Health field.
  • Licensure: Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada licensure, Controlled Substance License, and DEA as a Nurse Practitioner.
