Overnight Multi Engine Instructor information

What does an overnight multi engine instructor do?

An Overnight Multi Engine Instructor is a certified flight instructor who specializes in teaching pilots how to operate multi-engine aircraft during nighttime or overnight hours. Their responsibilities include providing ground and in-flight instruction, monitoring student performance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during night operations. These instructors often work with students who have busy daytime schedules or who need to log nighttime flight hours for certification. They must have advanced knowledge of multi-engine systems, night flying techniques, and FAA regulations. Their expertise helps students earn multi-engine and night flight ratings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an overnight multi engine instructor, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Overnight Multi Engine Instructor, you need a commercial pilot license with multi-engine and instructor ratings, along with strong knowledge of flight operations and safety protocols. Familiarity with flight simulators, aviation training management systems, and FAA regulations is typically required. Outstanding communication, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs are valuable soft skills in this role. These qualifications and abilities are crucial for ensuring effective instruction, regulatory compliance, and the safety of both students and aircraft during nighttime operations.

What are some common challenges faced by an overnight multi engine instructor, and how can they be managed?

Overnight Multi Engine Instructors often face challenges such as adjusting to irregular sleep schedules, maintaining alertness during late-night hours, and ensuring student engagement in a fatigue-prone environment. To manage these, instructors typically prioritize effective time management, adhere to strict sleep routines, and utilize engaging teaching methods tailored to nighttime operations. Collaboration with other instructors and regular communication with the training team also help in sharing best practices and ensuring safety standards are consistently met during overnight shifts.

Tombras, a 600+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking an SEO Supervisor, SEO & AI Visibility to help lead modern organic search strategy for national and enterprise brands.

We are looking for a strong SEO practitioner with 6+ years of experience who is already grounded in technical SEO, content strategy, and local SEO. This role will help bridge high-level strategy and hands-on execution for national and enterprise brands. As search rapidly evolves beyond classic "blue links" into AI-influenced, answer-first environments, this role serves as a vital translator of modern discovery strategies.

Sitting within Tombras’ world class, and award winning,SEO Team, the SEO Supervisor is a "player-coach" who owns day-to-day client strategies while actively mentoring junior team members and supervising complex workstreams. You are someone who is deeply grounded in SEO fundamentals—technical, content, and local— but are actively defining how brands get found via Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).

Where you'll be working:

Knoxville, TN. Relocation assistance may be provided.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead Multi-Platform Strategy: Drive organic discovery and visibility strategies across traditional Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, YouTube, Reddit, maps, and reviews.
  • Client Leadership: Serve as a trusted strategic partner for mid-size to enterprise-level clients, presenting performance updates, strategic recommendations, and testing plans with confidence.
  • Integrated Marketing: Partner across departments (Development, UX, Analytics, Content, PR, Social, and Paid Search) to maximize broad digital signals that influence both search rankings and AI citations.
Modern Search, GEO, & AEO Execution
  • Implement GEO/AEO Frameworks: Oversee the optimization of content for semantic clarity, entity relevance, answer-first structure, citations, structured data, and source quality.
  • AI Workflow Innovation: Build, refine, and operationalize AI-assisted workflows (such as content briefs, schema generation, internal link automation, and page refreshes) ensuring they are strictly grounded in human review and high editorial standards.
  • Enterprise Tech & Local SEO: Provide hands‑on guidance across core technical SEO elements (crawlability, rendering, site migrations, Core Web Vitals) and supervise multi-location local SEO and reputation programs.
Team Leadership & Measurement
  • Supervise & Mentor: Manage workloads, timelines, and quality control across multiple client accounts while directly training and mentoring junior SEO team members.
  • Evolve Analytics & Reporting: Move clients away from legacy click-based metrics to modern frameworks that track share of voice, answer inclusion, LLM citations, and overall business impact.
What you bring:
  • Experience: 6+ years of hands‑on experience in SEO (with agency experience working across multiple accounts and industries highly preferred).
  • Enterprise Track Record: Proven capability managing technical, content, or local SEO workstreams for complex, national, or multi-location brands.
  • Modern Search Acumen: A clear, working point of view on how generative search, zero-click experiences, and LLMs are shifting user behavior.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated experience managing project timelines and giving constructive feedback or training to junior team members.
  • Data Literacy: Comfort turning performance data from complex environments into clear narratives and business-focused recommendations.
  • Enterprise SEO Tools: BrightEdge, Conductor, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Lumar/Deepcrawl, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Local SEO Platforms: Yext, BrightLocal, Reputation.com, Chatmeter, or similar.
  • AI Capabilities: Direct experience with prompt design, structured data strategy, retrieval-aware content structuring, and AI-assisted content scaling.
Why you'll want to work at Tombras:
  • Family - It comes first, on every list. Tombras has been family-run since day 1, we strive to facilitate a family-oriented environment rooted in supporting one another.
  • Dog-friendly offices
  • Flexible PTO
  • Generous parental leave for primary and non-primary caregivers
  • Medical (PPO or High Deductible option) for employee + dependents
  • A company culture of promotions from within and an atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development.
