Job description

Lead overnight operations that keep critical renewable energy systems running.

Night Plant Manager – Anaerobic Digestion

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

Hours: 5pm – 3am

This is a high-responsibility leadership role overseeing overnight operations at a state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion facility. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant performance while making real-time decisions that protect people, equipment, and the environment.

Anaerobic digestion supports waste diversion, renewable energy production, and environmental protection. Your leadership ensures operational continuity during night hours when independent judgment is critical.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate an Anaerobic Digestion facility using electronic and computer control systems. (SCADA); interprets gauges, meters, charts and graphs; operates pumps, valves motors and related equipment; reports the need for major or specialized repairs to equipment, machinery and electrical and electronic systems;
  • Reviews and reconciles daily plant operational data sheets to ensure accuracy of entered data.
  • Assists in the technical training of plant operators and technical staff; assists in planning, assigning and reviewing the work of plant operators
  • Inspects anaerobic digestions facility equipment to ensure its proper operation in order to minimize interruptions to the plants operation and to alleviate costly repairs.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety or records, logs and reports
  • Ensures proper operations of online monitoring equipment for anaerobic digesters and gas systems
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Other duties as requested.
