Primary Responsibilities:

As a Professional Engineer on our team, you will perform electrical calculations and prepare construction documents for a wide variety of challenging projects. You should have a strong knowledge of electrical theory, lighting design, power system design, and telecommunication and other low voltage systems design. You must have a good understanding of, and the ability to read and interpret electrical calculations and construction drawings.


Specific Duties:

  • Develop full construction documents (drawing and specifications) for complex electrical systems and renovation projects
  • Perform site observations for lighting, power, and low voltage systems
  • Write clear and concise reports
  • Assist in the training and professional development of EITs
  • Effectively communicate within TSP's multidisciplinary system of architects & engineers along with building owners, property managers, and contractors
  • Keep updated on applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulations
  • Champion TSP

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical design experience
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and AGI32 is preferred

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position operates in an office environment, regularly working in indoor conditions and on a computer. The noise level is usually moderate. This job entails sitting and collaborating with team members and stakeholders, along with communicating via phone/video. Occasionally, the employee may need to stand, walk, and lift/move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Some overnight travel may be required.
