Job description

Overnight Supervisor – Dog Daycare & Boarding

Preferred: Dog handling experience, overnight work experience, and/or management experience

Job Summary
The Overnight Supervisor oversees all overnight operations of our dog daycare and boarding facility, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all dogs in our care. This role supervises staff, manages nightly tasks, and ensures company procedures are followed while working under the Resort Director.

Split Shifts are available.

5:30 pm to 12:00 midnight

12:00 midnight to 6:30 am


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise overnight care for daycare, boarding, bathing, and enrichment programs
  • Lead and support staff; provide coaching, feedback, and training
  • Assign staff and coordinate nightly operations to ensure safe, efficient care
  • Monitor dog health, behavior, feeding, and medication administration
  • Maintain accurate reports (health, behavior, feeding, shift reports)
  • Communicate updates and concerns with management and incoming shift leaders
  • Ensure proper dog group assignments and safe handler-to-dog ratios
  • Oversee facility cleanliness, safety, and inventory needs
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate veterinary care when needed
  • Maintain positive relationships with team members and pet parents

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6+ months professional dog care experience preferred
  • 1–2 years customer service experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Schedule & Availability

  • Part-time overnight position
  • Must be available weekends and holidays
  • Flexible schedule required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (indoors/outdoors)
  • Lift 50–60 lbs regularly
  • Work in varying weather conditions and a loud environment
