Based in Rockville, Maryland and founded in 1950 as a community service organization for individuals with special needs, TLC has a longstanding reputation of providing high quality programs and services to the community. We are one of the largest nonprofits in the area, employing over 200 highly qualified individuals in the following fields: education, audiology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology, social work, vocational rehabilitation adult employment support, finance, marketing and development, as well as administrative support staff.
TLC is committed to helping to train the next generation of teachers and clinicians. Students are accepted for Internships in the following disciplines: Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, and Teaching. The primary focus of internships at TLC is to assist students in obtaining college level course credit or to satisfy practicum hours requirements. Internships are Unpaid.
