Job description


We are seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily housekeeping operations and lead a team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and service while supporting team performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction throughout the property.

Schedule Details:
The Housekeeping Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays. Overnight shifts may be required based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead and support daily housekeeping operations, including Guest Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Housepersons, Linen Attendants, Uniform Attendants, Coordinators, and Supervisors.
  • Conduct daily team briefings and provide ongoing coaching and performance support.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Identify and address maintenance, inventory, and service issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments to optimize room readiness and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with departmental scheduling, payroll, purchasing, recordkeeping, and inventory management.
  • Support deep-cleaning programs, floor care initiatives, and preventive housekeeping maintenance plans.
  • Ensure department equipment, supplies, and storage areas are secure and properly maintained.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, inclusion, and exceptional guest service.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
  • Housekeeping supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • 2 years of housekeeping management experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and proper use of PPE.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
