We are seeking to hire an experienced Commercial Roofer (Roofer, Mechanic, Lead Man) to join our Production Team. As a member of the Production Team, you and other members of a roofing crew are responsible for replacing existing roof systems and installing new roof systems on commercial buildings.


NOTE: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal government contract requirements passed down by the prime contractor. Applicants must provide either a US Passport, a US Birth Certificate, or a Certificate of Naturalization to be hired on. Applicants must also have never, at any point, been convicted of a felony per federal government contract requirements passed down by the prime contractor. Applicants who do not meet this criterion will not be considered.


Hourly Pay: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour

CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT LIVE WITHIN 1 HOUR OF OFFICE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED (Norcross, GA)

Candidates who have little to no prior experience with Commercial Roofing Systems (TPO, PVC, Mod Bit, Sheet Metal) are encouraged to apply for our Entry Level Commercial Roofing Position.



Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete the initial safety and technical training onboarding
  • Demolition and removal of existing roofing material
  • Loading and unloading roofing material and equipment
  • Assisting the production crew with laying out material as needed
  • Learning the basic technical details of various roof systems
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work site
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of experience in Commercial Roofing
  •  Experienced with PVC, TPO, Sheet Metal, and Mod Bit Roofing details


Minimum Employment Requirements;

  • Clear a National, State, and Local Background Check (This position requires qualified candidates to never have been convicted of a felony per contract requirements. Applicants who do not meet this criterion will not be considered.)
  • 3-Year Motor Vehicle Record meeting standards to drive company vehicles. (If hired as a driver)
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen &
  • Complete Post Hire fit for duty screening.
  • Pass the 90-day introductory period.

Qualifications:

  • 40-60 Hour Work Weeks.
  • Consistent & Reliable Timeliness & Attendance.
  • Rotating (1) weekend per month On-Call Schedule.
  • Periodic, Regional, and overnight stays for job completion.
  • Ability to operate mobile technology systems & programs.
  • Willingness to learn from other technicians & direct supervisors.
  • Must be trustworthy and willing to work for periods unsupervised.
  • Excellent communicator, both oral and written- Customer Service skill set.
  • BASIC COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIRED


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at roofing job sites. The weather work environment and job sites can be extremely hot or extremely cold. This position is performed inside and outside.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position.

Hours: Must be flexible


Travel

Up to 100% travel out of town is expected.
