Job Description

As a Security Officer Gated Community Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, maintaining a visible presence, and communicating professionally with residents, guests, and staff. You will support security-related operations through attentive observation, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for residents, guests, deliveries, contractors, and service providers in accordance with community policies.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and access-related records while communicating relevant information to residents, management, and appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
