As a Security Host/Hostessthe main goal is to provide a safe and secure environment that enables our guests,staff,and vendors to experience thehigh-energy, best in class fine dining experience that Toca Madera Houston will offer.

Responsibilities:

  • The Security Hostperforms protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and professional manner while dealing with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, threats to life and property.

  • As a first responder, will be trained on Infant,Child,and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated ExternalDefibrillator(AED), StoptheBleed Training and fire extinguisher procedures to respond to emergencies as needed

  • Conduct interior and exteriorrestaurantpatrol toidentifyundesirable conditions

  • Evaluate a situation and quickly make logical decisions on how toproceedwhile maintaining a calm demeanor

  • Investigations, including evaluation of the scene, interviewing complainants and witnesses, involve correct personnel toassistwith the investigation

  • Documentation and report writing

  • Maintain order in therestaurantwhile attending to the needs of our guests,staffmembers and vendors

  • Assistin safety controls for performance aspects taking place inside the venue

  • Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as firealarms, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational, persuasive manner

  • Handle violations ofrestaurantpolicy, civillaws,and undesired conduct

  • Respond to security and emergencysituationsand prioritize the workin a timely manner

  • Provide key assist

  • Provideaccurateinformation to guests,staffand vendors seeking directions and hours of operation

  • Receive, record and secure found property - will also research and respond toguestinquiries for lost property

  • Escortstaffandguests asrequiredto parking lots

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least21years of age

  • Valid Statesecurity credentials/licensees

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must present a well-groomedappearance

  • Twoyears of experiencein a position with direct guest contactrequired

  • Strong verbal, written and technology skillsrequired

  • Keyboarding skills 25 WPM

  • Investigation skills

  • Perform general clerical duties using Microsoft Office and othersite-specificprograms

  • Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in excessive heator cold(depending on location).

  • Maintain strong observation skills withelevated levelof detail and scrutiny for entire shift

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. Must be able to push or pull up to 150 lbs.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Anassociatedegreeor higher

  • A successful candidate will have experience as a first responder - related experience that best aligns with the day-to-day operation may include:

  • Hospitality Security Guard/Officer experience

  • High-end customer service experience

  • Successfully completed basic training in the Military

  • Loss Prevention and/or Plain Clothes Operatives experience

  • High pressure situational experience such as Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter, Flight Attendant

  • High school diploma or equivalent

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Full availability isrequiredseven (7) days per week, including early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
