Full Job Description:

As a Nightclub Security Officer, you will be responsible for managing crowd control, monitoring entrances, and ensuring a safe atmosphere within the venue. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond calmly in high-energy environments. Officers must be LGBTQ-friendly and committed to upholding an inclusive space for all guests.

Additional responsibilities for this Security Position includes:

Access Control:

Check IDs and monitor entrances to ensure all patrons meet age and safety requirements.

Manage guest lists, ticket holders, and VIP entries per venue protocols.

Crowd Management and Patron Safety:

Observe and maintain safe crowd flow inside the venue, identifying and addressing any potential safety concerns.

Respond to disruptive or unsafe behavior tactfully and professionally, removing individuals as necessary.

Patrol Venue Areas:

Conduct regular patrols throughout the venue, including dance floors, seating areas, and bathrooms, to ensure guest safety.

Stay alert to any suspicious activity and maintain a visible, approachable presence.

Incident Response and Reporting:

Respond promptly to incidents, including disturbances, medical situations, and safety hazards.

Prepare clear and accurate incident reports as needed, ensuring proper communication with venue management.

Enforce Venue Policies and Regulations:

Ensure guests follow venue policies regarding prohibited items, conduct, and other regulations, maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment.

Qualifications:

Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. Additional requirements of the Customer Service Officer include:

  • The agent will integrate seamlessly with the principal's "Pattern of Life" and should understand the baseline of the normal day-to-day environment.
  • Be in excellent physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be flexible/adaptable with long hours, ever-changing schedules, and unexpected travel.
  • Have a reliable means of communication and transportation
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Prior experience in security or crowd management preferred
  • Valid California security license required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy, nightlife settings
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends (Friday - Sunday)
  • High School Diploma or GED

Licenses (Required):

  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card
  • First-Aid / CPR Certified Recommended
  • Ability to pass company background and drug screening

Experience:

Security/Nightlife Experience: 1-2 Years Minimum

Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)

Patrol Security Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
