Electrical Design Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support aircraft cabin modification, certification, and electrical design activities for commercial aviation programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in aircraft electrical systems, substantiation, certification processes, and engineering documentation, with proficiency in AutoCAD or DraftSight.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical test plans, inspection plans, checklists, and engineering documentation.
  • Prepare substantiation reports and test plans/reports supporting aircraft cabin safety and certification requirements.
  • Manage electrical design activities for STC/PMA projects and coordinate supplier deliverables.
  • Identify and assess major electrical design changes impacting aircraft systems.
  • Support certification and regulatory compliance activities with aviation authorities.
  • Coordinate with Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) and resolve technical issues.
  • Interface with airline customers and support troubleshooting during flight testing, laboratory testing, and validation activities.
  • Create technical presentations and participate in engineering review meetings.
Required Skills
  • 4-7 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or DraftSight for electrical design and drafting.
  • Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, design processes, and substantiation methodologies.
  • Understanding of Airbus and Boeing aircraft certification and engineering practices.
  • Experience preparing engineering reports, test procedures, and technical documentation.
