Job description

Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Location: California Facility 44871 Saint Andrews Church Road California, MD

SHIFT AVAILABILITY:

  • Full-Time Shifts Available (4 shifts a week with every other weekend required)
    • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 
    • Mid Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
    • Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

JOB SUMMARY: At Pyramid Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals facing substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring disorders, and problem gambling. Our Behavioral Health Technicians play a crucial role in direct client care, interacting with and supervising clients throughout their treatment journey. We offer outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) tailored to meet each client's unique needs, creating comprehensive and individualized treatment plans through collaborative efforts.

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $15.00/hour before differentials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete the intake process for new clients entering the program.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation.
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable.
  • Coordinate client activities.
  • Follow the objectives of treatment plans to address client-specific needs.
  • Evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs, providing appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
  • Assist with clients' dietary needs.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Behavioral health or general healthcare experience preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Employment Information: Candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
