Description:This position is for Automation Engineers with experience in application development lifecycle automation to join an expanding DevOps Team . The DevOps service supports application teams in a highly integrated, complex environment.Responsibilities: • Interfaces with the application development teams to assist them in determining the most efficient and value-added method of automating their application Lifecycle development activities that move their applications through the process to production implementation.• Works with the application teams, technology partners, and all relevant teams to on-board the application team and their applications into the DevOps-Automation Service.• Lead the onboard efforts and matrix teams of automation engineers.• May assume duties and roles related to Software Configuration Management and/or Development. Works with version control systems, automated build systems, regression test systems along with many other lifecycle tools.• Develops, architects, integrates and supports the integrated system and components.• Once on-boarding is completed, maintains a partnership/working relationship with the application teams and partners to proactively modify and add workflows as appropriate to continue maximizing the value of the service to the application teams and the business clients they support.• Proactively researches, tests and implements additional tools of value to the Automation Framework in support of the application teams and the DevOps-Systems team.• Leads efforts in process reengineering.Requirements: • Significant experience with application development (Java and/or .Net) to best understand and convey the value of the service to the application teams (3+ years minimum)• Significant experience in creating as well as maintaining build scripts (2 years minimum)• Experience with UrbanCode products (Anthill Pro, uBuild, uDeploy) and automation configurations within the products.• Working knowledge of Maven/Nexus• Extensive technical knowledge and experience to support the current DevOps Tools, automation activities and planning. This includes experience in Application Lifecycle Management Automation tools and integration using one or more of the following tools: IBM UrbanCode Build, IBM UrbanCode Deploy, IBM UrbanCode Release, Sonar, Subversion, Perforce, RTC, TFS, Jira, Quality Center, Rally Dev• Must have demonstrated track record of taking manually built / deployed applications and working with the application development teams to engineer a build/deploy process that is standardized, repeatable, and transparent.• Strong strategic thinker and the proven ability to execute (ability to think strategically and lead matrix team and partners to implement and deliver)• Proven results in delivery against commitments
