Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team. In this role you will set up, operate, and clean CNC and Milling machines to ensure efficient operations, prevent contamination and achieve optimal utilization. At Addman you'll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of aerospace and additive manufacturing.
This role will focus on EDM and Build Plate Resurfacing in a weekday overnight shift. The shift will be Monday-Thursday 9pm-7:30am and will offer a shift differential. Please note that the training for this role will take place on day shift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Setup, operate and perform daily maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
  • Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Makes high quality parts to specifications.
  • Helps develop workable methods for machining operations.
  • Makes proper use of machines, tooling, and inspection equipment.
  • Sets up, machines, and inspects all required operations.
  • Proficient at inspecting sizes and geometries down to .0002".
  • Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced machinists to upgrade their machining, inspection, and problem-solving skills.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

  • Proficient at programming and makes full use of all the CNC control functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of related two-year vocational school program and three years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.
  • Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
