Overnight Cps Paraprofessional Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, provides a broad range of paraprofessional activities to participants engaged in accountability court services. Provides one-on-one recovery coaching, participates in treatment team planning, attends court team meetings and court sessions as scheduled, facilitates group skills training and education, documents all client interactions in electronic health record (EHR.)
Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards:

1. Provide individual recovery coaching session utilizing Motivational Interviewing Techniques to offer individual coaching and support.
   • Support and promote multiple pathways to recovery.
   • Assist with strength-based development of skills utilizing your own lived experiences in recovery.
   • Assist client to identify and link to community resources that promote and support recovery.
   • If the client has more extensive community resource needs, refer to clinic Case Management Services.
   • Document in EHR the discussion information via Clinical Services Note by close of business on same day of service.
   • Complies with client confidentiality as specified by department policy.
2. Completes treatment plan reviews and updates with client, family members, significant others and appropriate community agencies (with appropriate consents in place.)
   • Schedules treatment team meetings and attends treatment team meetings scheduled by other team members.
   • Assists the client and team with identifying appropriate group activities based on assessed needs.
   • Participates in the development and update of treatment plans with client (every 30 days if in a substance use residential program and every 60 days if in an outpatient substance use program.)
   • Utilizes recovery coaching session to help client identify individualized goals based on the strengths, needs, abilities and preferences identified in 1a.
   • Provide appropriate input based on client's recovery status, interviews with client and observation of the client.
3. Provides group skills training and education sessions.
   • Attend training on evidenced-based group training modalities appropriate for court involved clients.
   • Follow evidence-based curriculum requirements to conduct weekly group skills or education sessions that support wellness and recovery.
   • Provide appropriate emotional support, encouragement and coaching to clients and assist in the resolution of problems.
   • Refer to clinician or team leader for any services or discussions outside scope of Peer Specialist coaching practice.
4. Monitor client progress toward treatment goals.
   • Provides appropriate input in developing and maintaining a network of community contacts.
   • Assist client with self-monitoring of goals and steps to reach those goals.
   • Provides appropriate communication to treatment team and court team members regarding client treatment progress.
5. Maintains contact with other court team members and recovery care providers involved with the client to provide information and obtain feedback on overall progress (with appropriate consents in place.)
   • Attend court sessions weekly.
   • Attend and participate in court team meetings weekly.
   • Submit documentation in court electronic record.
6. Maintains appropriate credentials and attends trainings as necessary or required by court.
   • Attends community seminars and meetings if schedule allows and approved by supervisor
   • Maintain continuing education program for Peer Certification as either CPS-MH or CPS-AD.
   • Follow ethical code of conduct.
   • Maintain appropriate boundaries.
   • Maintains knowledge by reading up-to-date articles, books, etc.
   • With supervisor approval, attend training provided by state agencies to include Council of Accountability Court Judges (CACJ,) Ga. Council on Recovery, DBHDD.
   • Submit mileage reimbursement for any overnight training within 3 business days of completing the training.
7. Follows all agency policies and procedures for using an agency vehicle.
   • Operates personal and/or may operate state vehicle and observes all safety laws and agency procedures.
   • Maintains a valid and appropriate license to operate their assigned vehicle. c. Reports any state vehicle problems to supervisor in a timely manner.
   • If using personal vehicle, follows the agency policies for mileage reimbursement.
8. Document all client and client-related interactions in client's EHR.
   • Complete required agency training on the EHR.
   • Submit all documentation by the close of business on the same day of service.
   • 2nd signature supervisor on treatment plans and other documentation as directed by supervisor.
9. May generate and maintain program information or statistics via Excel spreadsheets as requested by supervisor.
   • Caseload lists for court clients
   • Group list
   • Payer list and due dates for authorizations

Sample Technical Competencies:

1. Ability to coordinate and organize the delivery services.
2. Ability to interview consumers and/or families using established techniques.
3. Ability to develop client service plans to habilitate and rehabilitate client and assist client in attaining social, educational, and vocational goals.
4. Ability to assist with individual counseling sessions.
5. Ability to develop, implement and facilitate groups.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND One year of experience in a social service-related position OR Two years at an accredited college or university with at least 15 credit hours in a social services related field. CPS or CARES certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
An associate's degree in social work, pre-social work, psychology, mental health, nursing, education, or a related field and one (1) year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in social services delivery (case management, outreach, prevention/education, etc.).
