Job description

Seeking a Senior level Network Engineer for a Long Term contract position located in Blythewood, SC. Must authorized to work in the United States, Security clearance required, No c2c candidates or sponsorship availability.
Project Scope: Act as a point of reference for the Network Operations Center team on technical issues. While reporting to the Network Operations Center Manager, the Network Engineer will work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems, making recommendations, and implementing changes with little to no supervision. This position contributes advanced technical expertise to support and strengthen daily NOC operations.
What YOU Will Do In This Role:

  • Daily duties include managing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a statewide network infrastructure built upon a foundation of various solutions, such as Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, and Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix technologies.
  • Be proactive in their approach to monitor network performance, ensure efficient communication across the network, review and improve security compliance through cybersecurity best practices, and implement updates or changes to maintain optimal connectivity and secure version compliance.
  • Candidate will be part of a multi-team environment and must have the ability to work as part of those teams and must have the ability to support multiple tasks at the same time, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Perform the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking products.
  • Troubleshoot network failures and identify network problems.
  • Provide Network analysis, design, installation, configuration, and support.
  • Maintain network diagrams and other network documentation.
  • Provide configuration, troubleshooting and problem resolution support.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues in a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure.


Required Skills:

  • 10+ years experience in Cisco firewalls, routers, switches, VPN and Cisco administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls.


Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience with knowledge of monitoring and tracing tools, core network architecture, advanced troubleshooting, routing, and switching.
  • 4+ years of experience with wireless networks.
  • 3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Four Years of Relevant Experience in addition to Required Years of Experience.


Preferred Certifications:

  • CCNA
  • CCNP
