Our client is a leading multinational telecommunications technology company seeking a skilled Core Network Engineer to provide operational expertise in Nokia Packet Core networks. This is a time-sensitive project requiring on-site presence in Plano, TX.
Role Summary
The Core Network Engineer will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Packet Core operations, ensuring that analytics and root cause analysis (RCA) results are accurate, credible, and actionable from a Core Network Operations (NOC) perspective. This is a domain validation and governance role, not a development role, supporting a pilot project with a strong focus on operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities

  • Validate alarm correlations and RCA signatures against actual operational behavior.
  • Define and assess success criteria from a Core Ops/NOC perspective.

  • Support interpretation of analytics outputs for operations and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to pilot findings, recommendations, and next-step decisions.

  • Strong understanding of Packet Core call flows and common degradation/failure scenarios.
  • Knowledge of alarm patterns and KPIs.
