Do you work in the security industry but want to be involved in an exciting and dynamic environment?Become a Security Guard Associate for Paisley Park, a place where art, music, fashion, and culture are celebrated, energized, and inspired by the visionary creative spirit of Prince. As a Security Guard Associate, you will secure the property against threats and help ensure a safe guest and team member experience.Chanhassen, MinnesotaFull time (open to part-time or on call)$20 per hour, depending upon qualifications and previous military and/or law enforcement experienceComplimentary tour tickets, 20% retail store discount, Valleyfair, SeaLife, Crayola Experience, and other employee discounts.ResponsibilitiesGreet and direct Guests upon arrivalControl access to public and non-public areasMonitor electronic surveillance equipment and other security systemsRespond to calls for security service, alarms, and emergency situationsEvaluate, direct and control emergency and/or hostile situations using our Emergency Action Plan protocolsRoutinely patrol and inspect buildings and grounds to watch for and guard against fire, theft, illegal entry, building rules infractions, and other irregularitiesAccurately complete security documents and reports.Participate in all departmental mandated meetings and training assignments.Manage crowd control as needed, including exhibits and other indoor spaces, along with the parking lot and other outdoor areasProvide security for all private and major eventsAssist with cashier escorts within the museumQualificationsAbility to interact well with others as it is a customer-service-oriented positionDemonstrate knowledge of basic principles and practices in the security fieldExercise sound judgment in handling crisis situations.Skilled in speaking with Guests of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgroundsAbility to listen and observe in order to meet the varying needs of guest and propertyAbility to handle complaints and refer to the appropriate departmental when necessaryAbility to use portable radioDemonstrated background in securityWillingness and ability to travel to other locations/properties as requiredFirst Aid CPR/AED Certification or the ability to obtain within three months of hireAbility to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of timeAbility to stoop, reach and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.Ability to climb stairsAbility to speak clearly and distinctlyMust be able to work outside in all types of weatherAbility to react in emergency situationsPescatarian work environment while on the Paisley Park campus.
