Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive After-Hours Customer Service Representative to join our night-shift team in Whiteland, IN. In the fast-paced world of transportation, critical situations happen outside of standard business hours. In this role, you will be the vital link that ensures our customers stay informed and their supply chains remain uninterrupted through the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary night-shift point of contact, handling incoming after-hours phone calls and resolving customer support inquiries with excellent service.
  • Provide accurate, real-time shipment status updates to customers via email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Closely monitor shipments that are en route to pickup locations to anticipate, identify, and resolve potential delays before they occur.
  • Assist with last-minute, urgent shipment coverage needs, utilizing problem-solving skills to find quick transit solutions.
  • Maintain and update customer freight portals and internal online tracking systems with precise transit information.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, logistics, freight brokerage, or dispatching is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or during urgent situations.
  • Strong computer skills, including comfort navigating data entry portals, tracking systems, and managing a high volume of emails.
  • Strict adherence to the overnight schedule (10 PM - 7 AM); ability to work independently with minimal supervisor oversight during the night shift.
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to think critically when unexpected logistical issues arise.
