UCTis looking for a talentedSupervisor Productionto join us inChandler, AZ!

The Production Supervisor will be required to work in all the areas of production, supervising all aspects of the production operation within the facility of their responsibility. This position is a hands-on position within the production area. The Production Supervisor is required to spend 90% of his day on the production floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises manufacturing personnel in the assembly area.
  • Hires, trains, and develops staff members.
  • Maintains a current training/skill matrix.
  • Oversees all production issues for a work group or shift.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area
  • Works closely with materials, engineering, quality, and other staff to ensure delivery schedules are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
  • Effectively manages individuals and teams, including performance management, conflict resolution, work scheduling, training, and successful accomplishment of delivery and quality objectives.
  • Completes manufacturing-related projects as assigned, including cost‑saving and continuous improvement projects utilizing lean and six sigma methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications; SAP preferred.
  • Familiar with lean and six sigma methodologies (Certification a plus)

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering discipline/equivalent preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years’experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry is highly preferred. Working knowledge of a quick‑turn, engineer‑to‑order environment is desired. Prior experience in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement projects is desired.

Management Experience:

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in high‑technology manufacturing required.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Work is performed primarily in an office and manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
  • The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods of time may be required.
  • Works in a manufacturing area, with some changes in temperature, as well as throughout the premises.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.

Overnight Travel:

  • Work may require out‑of‑town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
