Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a Chemical Process Technician to join our Separations Team in Burlington, MA.ย In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital part in operating and improving our rare earth metals separation processes by working with strong acids, bases, and wet chemistry systems. Your work will directly enable the clean, scalable production of the critical materials powering the technologies of tomorrow.ย

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate chemical separation processes during overnight shifts, ensuring accuracy and safety in all activitiesย
- Safely handle strong acids, bases, and other hazardous materials usingย appropriate PPEย and safety protocolsย
- Execute wet chemistry procedures and follow SOPs precisely to support critical metals separationย
- Monitor and adjust process conditions based on lab results and performance dataย
- Conduct in-process sampling and testing to ensure process targets are metย
- Document experimental data, deviations, and observations with high attention to detailย
- Support troubleshooting efforts and recommend improvements toย optimizeย separation performanceย
- Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and maintenance of process and lab equipmentย
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment aligned with EHS standardsย
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in chemical processing, laboratory work, or industrial operationsย
- Strong experience working with wet chemistry, including handling of strong acids and basesย
- Proven ability to follow SOPs andย maintainย strict adherence to safety and quality standardsย ย
- Familiarity with basic lab instrumentation, data collection, and documentation practicesย
- High school diploma or equivalentย required; associate degree or vocational training in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field preferredย
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently

This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total packageย may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay Range: $60,000- $85,000 total cash compensation plus equity
