Job description

An inpatient medical center in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking a Gastroenterology physician to provide ongoing locum coverage. This role offers scheduled clinical service with call coverage in a well-supported hospital setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday through Sunday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with overnight call from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Setting: Inpatient

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient gastroenterology consults and rounding coverage
  • Perform endoscopic procedures as needed
  • Participate in 24-hour beeper call coverage
  • Respond to urgent clinical needs in a timely manner based on call expectations
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers and nursing staff to support patient care
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified Gastroenterologist
  • Active New Mexico medical license
  • Active New Mexico Board of Pharmacy registration
  • DEA registration for New Mexico
  • ERCP experience
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to meet temporary privileges requirements, including a clean background check
