Position Summary

Develops and manages client relationships and identifies business opportunities to increase revenue and retention. Uses strategic insights from sales and transportation market trends with a focus on business-to-business logistics solutions.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prospects and secures new clients within an assigned territory to drive revenue growth.
  • Understands client objectives and proposes tailored logistics and transportation solutions.
  • Collaborates across operations, service center, and internal partners to deliver quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develops client growth and retention plans to build a profitable, long-term book of business.
  • Leads contract negotiations and closes sales to exceed performance targets.
  • Prepares and presents compelling proposals and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Maintains accurate customer relationship management records and documents client interactions.
  • Monitors market trends, competitor activity, and industry advancements to identify market growth opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record that meets company standards for operating a company vehicle.
  • Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language in order to perform the various tasks of the job, including but not limited to: converse with co-workers and members of the general public, including customers; understand oral and written instructions as well as governmental regulations; respond to questions and inquiries from management and government representatives; and accurately complete various documents, reports and records required of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Demonstrated business-to-business sales success, with experience in freight or LTL logistics preferred.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Prior experience leveraging tools for territory analysis and pipeline reporting.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands
