Job description

Location: 1150 Greenbrier Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA 23320

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday: 4:30-10:30pm

Compensation: up to $16/hour

Position Purpose
This position is responsible for assisting esthetician instructors in the administrative tasks and for ensuring the classroom and labs are clean, prepared and ready for use.

Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities 
Assist Program Coordinator and instructors with general office and administrative tasks including organization, maintenance, and inventory management of the lab and clinic areas.   
Follow the Department of Professional and Occupational Board of Barbers and Cosmetology regulations.   
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment, including ensuring equipment and tools are maintained properly. 
Assist in maintaining daily students' daily attendance records in support of instructors and Program Coordinator.     
Notify Program Coordinator of any current or potential issues which warrant attention.    
Attend in-service training as required.   
Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education  
High School diploma or GED.   
Must have education and/or professional experience in the skin care field.   

Experience/Skills

Must be a licensed Master Esthetician 
Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment.
Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism.
Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting.
Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work independently and as collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams, CampusNexus experience a plus.   
Ability and willingness to work outside of regular work shifts, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary or as requested by Supervisor.
Ability and willingness to travel locally or overnight occasionally for business.
