ATI Forged Products produces and markets a wide range of specialty metal alloys, including titanium, nickel, and steel forgings to end use markets such as aerospace, energy, oil & gas, and general industrial markets. We have several operating facilities and deliver products to customers globally.

We are currently seeking an EHS Manager. This position reports to the Director of EHS at our Cudahy, WI headquarters. The role will require 15%-20% travel to Wisconsin based locations on a monthly basis; equating to 2-3 overnight stays per month to support satellite facilities.

This position will manage, develop, implement and promote the zero injury and imperative 8 safety culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for execution of EHS programs and procedures including but not limited to lockout tagout, confined space entry, mobile equipment safety, hazard communication, emergency response, working at heights and crane & rigging safety with an emphasis on Safety and Accident Prevention for your areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for continual improvement and sustainability initiatives that reduce waste and drive improvements to meet enterprise and business unit EHS objectives and targets.
  • Ensure EHS Regulatory Compliance by consistently evaluating existing programs and procedures while monitoring emerging rules and interpretations.
  • Responsible for execution of applicable EHS management systems which includes Corporate EHS Directives and conformance to ISO 14001 and 45001.
  • Assists with EHS training program for applicable EHS trainings across your areas of responsibility and support the business unit trainings as needed. This could include developing training presentations, delivering classroom training, conducting recertifications for annual lockout tagout authorized employees, mobile equipment, working at heights, confined space, etc.
  • Coordinate EHS corrective actions from EHS/customer audits, regulatory inspections, industrial accidents, and other assessments, apart from environmental remediation.
  • Manages management of change for your areas of responsibility which includes new processes, equipment, materials, and people.
  • Foster the EHS culture within your areas of responsibility to drive employee engagement, a safe work environment, and injury and illness reduction.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across your areas of responsibility by attending area department meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, etc.
  • Ensure contractors are performing work safely and following EHS programs and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 4-year bachelor's degree in a technical field such as EHS, engineering, or science.
  • 5+ years of applicable EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A good working knowledge of EHS regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and NFPA.
  • Experience with sustainability improvement initiatives
  • EHS certifications such as an OSHA 10/30, CSP, CIH etc. is a plus
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to influence people at all levels.
  • Must be able to comprehend and interpret applicable EHS requirements and translate them into the business language for clear understanding by the Department Managers and employees.
  • Must be able to learn and understand the business.
  • Must have strong process skills for standardization, continuous improvement and program management.
  • Must have a passion for EHS and able to translate into practical action.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills and experience.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • A valid driver's license to be able to travel between satellite Wisconsin facilities to support their EHS initiatives.
  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting
  • Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 50 pounds, as some equipment and materials might be heavy.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
