Job description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Healthcare Solutions Architect to join our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) organization within AWS Industries. In this role, you will partner with healthcare providers, health systems, and healthcare ISVs to design cloud architectures that solve critical industry challenges. From clinical AI and interoperability to population health and provider workflows, you will help some of the nation's largest health systems and most innovative digital health companies accelerate their transformation on AWS.
As a Solutions Architect, you will sit at the intersection of technology and healthcare delivery

You will bring technical depth, business aptitude, and the ability to lead architecture discussions with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, CMIOs, CTOs, Directors, VPs, and CXOs. You will articulate how AWS enables measurable outcomes across the healthcare value chain, from the point of care to back-office operations.
You will craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You will help organizations understand best practices for cloud-native healthcare solutions and guide migration of existing clinical and administrative workloads

You will define and build reference architectures for healthcare-specific use cases including clinical AI, ambient documentation, medical imaging, FHIR-based interoperability, real-time data pipelines, and generative AI applied to provider workflows.
In collaboration with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS healthcare partner ecosystem, you will formulate and execute strategies to expand AWS adoption across provider organizations and healthcare ISVs.
Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities
Ensure success in building, modernizing, and migrating healthcare applications, platforms, and services on AWS for health systems and ISV customers
In partnership with the account management team, formulate and execute a customer engagement strategy tailored to healthcare organizations and their unique regulatory, interoperability, and data challenges
Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and demonstration assets showcasing AWS capabilities in clinical AI, generative AI, ambient listening, medical imaging, FHIR interoperability, and healthcare analytics
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS for healthcare, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions meet compliance, interoperability, and scalability requirements
Stay current on emerging health AI technologies, clinical AI models, and cloud-native patterns. Translate that knowledge into actionable guidance and reference architectures for healthcare customers
Engage with healthcare ISVs and digital health companies to help them build, scale, and go-to-market on AWS. Serve as a technical advisor across the partner ecosystem
Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to healthcare organizations considering or already using AWS
Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, reference architectures, and blog posts focused on healthcare use cases
Act as a technical liaison between healthcare customers, service engineering teams, and support
A day in the life
Your morning starts with your AI agents already working

You open Amazon Quick, review overnight insights across your accounts, and jump into a call with a digital health ISV to architect their clinical AI platform for scale on AWS. Mid-morning, you build a generative AI prototype using Kiro that surfaces care gaps from unstructured clinical notes. After lunch, you walk a health system CTO through a live demo you built yesterday, not a slide deck.

Between meetings, you're sketching a FHIR-native interoperability pattern and reviewing a medical imaging pipeline design. No two days look the same.
