Job description

F&P Brands is seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join our IT team for a specialized 1-2 month overnight project. With over 30 years of experience operating more than 40 restaurants, including Dairy Queen and Schlotzsky's, we are currently upgrading our infrastructure and need dedicated "boots on the ground" to help us scale.

Project Scope & Primary Responsibilities
This is a labor-intensive technical role focused on the physical installation of network infrastructure during non-business hours. You will support our lead technicians with:
Overnight Infrastructure Work: Executing technical tasks during late-night/early-morning shifts to ensure zero disruption to restaurant guests.
Cabling: Pulling and routing Cat5/Cat6 cables through restaurant environments, kitchens, and offices.
Termination: Properly terminating Cat5/Cat6 cables and testing connections for reliability.
Hardware Installation: Mounting and installing Wireless Access Points (WAPs), security cameras, and Kitchen Display Systems (KDS).
Physical Labor: Climbing ladders, opening ceiling tiles, and using power tools to mount equipment.
Site Support: Assisting with the physical placement of Point of Sale (POS) components and credit card terminals.
Requirements
Required Skills & Physical Abilities
Schedule Availability: Must be able to work overnight shifts for the duration of the 1-2 month project.
Mechanical Aptitude: Experience using basic power tools and hand tools for mounting hardware.
Physical Stamina: Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting/transporting objects weighing up to 50lbs.
Heights: Ability to work comfortably on ladders and in crawl spaces or ceiling grids.
Reliability: A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation to various site locations.
Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment and follow technical instructions accurately.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in construction, electrical work, or basic IT cabling is a major plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining composed and focused.
