Job description

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Pacifica Companies. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Overnight Hotel Engineer will be primarily responsible for: responding to all guest requests, repairs in guest rooms (wall paper, paint, plumbing, electrical), front of the house areas, pool care (cleaning, reading and adding chemicals) and assisting with electrical set-up's in all meeting spaces. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas. Excellent service skills, as well as communication skills are required. Pay is based on experience. This is an overnight/3rd shift position. CPO Required.

Job requirements:
 
* Certified Pool Operator Certification required;
 
* Possess basic trouble shooting skills;
 
* Should be able to read blue prints & schematics;
 
* Possess a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and/or carpentry applications;
 
* Availability to work overnight shifts, as well as weekends & holidays;
 
* Prior hotel engineering experience is preferred.
