Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is the North American market leader in the production of passenger locomotives and coaches, and light rail vehicles.

As an Assembler Technician I, you will support a broad range of mechanical and assembly activities in a dynamic, high energy, production environment in final assembly of the best rail vehicles in the world. What your day-to-day will look like: Build up and assemble units in passenger coaches such as, but not limited to, roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, and panels, including air supply racks and piping assemblies. Apply adhesive, assemble, and align floor panels, windows, and door assemblies.

Install mechanical components such as insulation, sidewall panels, seating, and luggage racks. Route and connect electrical wiring harnesses to final termination points and subassemblies. Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble components as required.

Duties may consist of, but not limited to, working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches and verbal instructions to produce electrical or Electro-Mechanical subassemblies. Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity. To thrive in this role, you have: High school education or state recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or similar environment Experience with electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive or electrical service industries Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English Knowledge of reading of blueprints, diagrams and various part list is helpful.

Physical Demands: Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders Frequently required to work on elevated platforms. Perform work overhead.

Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Why you'll love working for Siemens.
