Commercial Door Technician/Installer


We are partnering with a growing, family-owned garage door and overhead door company seeking a skilled Lead Door Technician / Commercial Door Installer. This is a high-impact role for an experienced technician who can lead installations, troubleshoot issues, and manage jobs from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead installation and repair of commercial doors, overhead doors, and garage doo
  • Install and service dock equipment (dock levelers, seals, shelters)
  • Perform troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Install rolling steel doors, sectional doors, and gate operators
  • Complete welding and fabrication work as needed
  • Operate lifts (scissor lift, boom lift, forklift)
  • Manage jobs independently and oversee a helper/crew
  • Ensure safety, quality, and on-time project completion


Qualifications

  • Experience as a Garage Door Technician, Overhead Door Technician, Door Installer, or Service Technician
  • Strong background in commercial door installation and repair
  • Knowledge of loading dock equipment, dock levelers, and access syst
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Experience operating heavy equipment / aerial lifts
  • Leadership or Lead Technician experience strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
