Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Production Operations Specialist to join the Technology team in San Francisco, supporting NBC Sports Bay Area and California. As an Associate Production Operations Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for mainly jib operation, stage managing, A2 but also as camera operator, audio operator, robotic camera operator, and server playback for live and taped television broadcasts. Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate Jib camera, stage manage, A2.
  • Media Playback
  • Assist/Co-Pilot in an APC Production Environment
  • Understand and maintain studio operations SOPs for operational training, and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Performs other control room and studio related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in video production or live TV, preferably in an APC Production Environment
  • Experience with Ross Overdrive APC, Mira media playback, CalRec Assist or Jib Operations
  • Functional knowledge of newsroom computer systems, specifically iNews or Rundown Software equivalent

Skills & Experience we are looking for:

  • Must have strong oral/written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team, and be able to work accurately under pressure and deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated to take on new tasks to help better our production.
  • Aptitude and desire to be cross trained in other studio operations positions.
