Job description

About the Role:
The Outside Sales Account Manager will play a key role in driving rental and sales growth across a flexible geographic footprint, with an emphasis on developing relationships in untapped or underserved areas. This individual will be focused on generating new business, nurturing existing accounts, and representing the DRP brand with professionalism and urgency.
This is a relationship-heavy, field-driven position suited for a self-starter who’s comfortable visiting jobsites, yards, and field offices. If you thrive in the field and love closing deals, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
• Identify, engage, and grow new accounts in construction, industrial, aggregate, energy, and municipal sectors.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer operations, equipment needs, and project demands.
• Promote and sell Hyundai excavators, loaders, and compact equipment, Ammann compaction equipment, and a full lineup of attachments and specialty items.
• Quote and close equipment rentals and sales, with support from the DRP inside sales, service, and dispatch teams.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline using CRM with regular reporting on activity and opportunity status.
• Travel daily to client sites, conduct in-person visits, and participate in dealer expos, trade shows, and regional events.
• Provide clear and timely communication between the customer and internal departments (shop, rentals, parts, transport, etc.).
Support Provided
• Access to over $30 million in fleet rentals and retail inventory
• Full inside administrative and service support
• Brand presence and marketing support from OEM programs and DRP promotions
• CRM tools, quoting templates, and ongoing sales coaching
Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: Starts at $65,000/year (Drawled for the first 12 months); NO CAP ON COMMISSION FOR SALES OR RENTALS. Summary, do $10,000,000 in sale/rentals you get percentage of all paid for deals!
• Commission: Variable commission rates based on applicable sale or rental.
• Vehicle Compensation: Company-provided vehicle or monthly vehicle allowance (based on experience and need)
Qualifications
• 2+ years of outside sales and rental experience (construction equipment, heavy truck, material processing, or related field)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and independent with follow-through on leads and quoting
• CRM usage or basic computer skills (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
• Willing to travel locally most days; occasional travel for OEM events or training
Territory Flexibility
We are open to placing the right candidate in new or expanding territories, particularly in underserved zones of North and Northeastern Ohio Counties such as Stark, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Columbiana, Holmes, Coshocton, and Wayne. This is not a replacement role and will be structured to complement our current team.
