Job description

The Volunteer Program Manager is a full-time position with benefits, including IPERS, responsible for leading and expanding HIRTA#39;s volunteer program in service of older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, onboarding, and retaining volunteers and volunteer centers through active community outreach
  • Supervising a Program Coordinator and providing ongoing program leadership
  • Collecting, reviewing, and reporting program statistics
  • Processing mileage reimbursement claims and ensuring program compliance, including maintaining current volunteer documentation
  • Supporting marketing and community education efforts to promote HIRTA#39;s services
  • Participating in regular manager-staff meetings
  • Maintaining a person-centered approach in all interactions with the HIRTA team, community partners, and volunteers

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with volunteers and the communities HIRTA serves. Valid Drivers license required to use HIRTA vehicles for necessary travel.
