PSE's Customer Engagement team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Outreach Manager - Special Projects position!

Job Description
The Customer Outreach team at Puget Sound Energy is seeking a collaborative and organized Outreach Manager- Special Projects to join its team, which is focused on engaging highly impacted communities and vulnerable populations in products and services as part of the clean energy transition.
Responsible for managing and executing creative and engaging outreach projects as well as operational support for the regional team to achieve PSE's program participation goals in highly impacted communities and vulnerable populations. Responsible for the execution of outreach projects through local partnerships and in coordination with other corporate initiatives while working closely with PSE's internal teams to ensure appropriate planning and delivery. Manages community art installation program and provides operational and general administrative support to regional outreach team members.
All PSE employees are expected to uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities and promote and support a culture of total safety. Additionally, employees need to demonstrate commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. All duties are to be performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Leads complex, multi-faceted interdisciplinary outreach projects/initiatives that include managing the deliverables of internal stakeholders to achieve program outreach goals.
  • Manages community art installation program, including providing customer support for installations, managing vendors and associated contracts, working with artists and developing creative additions to the program.
  • Provides operational and administrative support to regional outreach team members, such as ordering collateral and materials, managing inventory and associated budgets
  • Manage assigned outreach projects' scope and objectives, schedule logistics, internal and external relationships/communication, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules. Prepares and presents project progress and cost reports as required.
  • Develop necessary outreach strategies required to meet project goals. Makes early identification of potential problem areas. Solves problems to ensure attainment of project goals.
  • Work as an integral member of a cross-departmental team in support of our cohesive work in our local communities. Ensure assigned outreach projects are coordinated with PSE's community engagement approach across multiple departments.
  • Work collaboratively to develop a cross-department team to provide a consistent set of practices/protocols for communication with customers and communities in support of outreach initiatives.
  • Create, document, and communicate project/campaign lessons learned and community engagement best practices.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sustainable business, public relations, or commensurate experience or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 7 years' experience in external relationship marketing and business development.
  • Experienced in representing various sensitive corporate positions.
  • Strong project manager who engages "hands-on" activities
  • Skilled in uncovering hidden "story" potential for working through corporate communications group to launch earned media effort.
  • Ability to work successfully with external interested parties and communities representing diverse interests.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as the Project Management Institute (PMI), highly desirable.
  • Previous interactive community events or projects experience.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy, corporate responsibility and sustainability.
  • Strong ability to work independently, but also contribute to the overall team goals, while embracing a shared vision.
  • Ability to work successfully in networking with external stakeholders and communities representing diverse interests in the formulation of collaborative and viable partnerships.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents, utilize creative thinking and problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive issues while using tact, courtesy, and discretion.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.

The pay range for this position is $82,000.00 - $136,300.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
