ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) Campaign of Maryland promotes economic advancement for low-to-moderate income individuals and families in Baltimore and across Maryland. CASH accomplishes its mission through operating a portfolio of direct service programs, building organizational and field capacity, and leading policy and advocacy initiatives to strengthen family economic stability. POSITION DESCRIPTION

The CASH Campaign of Maryland seeks a Sr. Program Associate to support the development and delivery of its direct service programs in the community. The Sr. Program Associate will work in various community settings to offer financial education classes, financial coaching, public benefits screening, case management, and referrals to ensure that families receive the resources they need. The Sr. Program Associate will help build connections with community partners to create connections with the community members. They will be responsible for developing new financial education, coaching, and benefit screening opportunities. CASH offers content training on its curriculum and benefits screening tool to ensure successful delivery of its content.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Education & Coaching (40%)

Teach financial education workshops in the State of Maryland. CASH will provide curriculum and training on how to deliver classes.

Maintain Financial Education resources, curriculum and presentation materials and equipment.

Collect and track data about workshop attendance, client outcomes, and report findings and success stories.

Collaborate with Financial Education Team colleagues in responding to partner and community requests for financial education sessions, ensuring all appropriate session materials are prepared, pre and post session communication, documentation, tracking, and results reporting is completed, department inventory is monitored and maintained and all incoming correspondence is handled in an efficient, effective and timely manner.

Participate in, initiate and lead new projects for the Financial Education Team identifying project objectives, ensuring team understanding of roles and responsibilities, monitor progress of these projects and recommend appropriate action to ensure project objectives and outcomes are realized.

Develop and facilitate in-person group financial coaching cohorts of 8-10 individuals in partnership with community groups.

Cultivate partners for CASH's one-on-one financial coaching referral program. Maintain data and partnership with financial coaching vendor (TrustPlus) to ensure quality for CASH's participants and referral partners.

Benefits Screening & Outreach (40%)

Provide courteous, professional, and confidential one-on-one benefits screening and application assistance to help community members access and maintain benefits. This will be accomplished by using several online case management tools such as: Single Stop and MD Benefits

Follow-up with clients and document outcomes in online systems and assist with producing outreach reports and client success stories for funders as needed.

Assist customers with troubleshooting questions that may arise while applying for benefits.

Collect data and client success stories using Online Screening tool.

Gather updated information for various benefit programs to ensure that referrals and processes are accurate; and appropriate.

Follow required protocol and program requirements.

Raise awareness about the direct services provided by the CASH Campaign of Maryland via public community outreach events as needed.

Administrative: ( 20%)

Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Attend and participate in internal and external meetings and professional development opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate will have a background in education, social work, human service, personal finance, or related field. An undergraduate degree or 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred. CASH seeks a highly motivated learner to master it's curriculum with an ability to connect with the residents and community partners.

Demonstrated ability to work with diverse organizations and people.

Experience working directly with clients or customers.

Experience delivering training to different audiences.

Ability to work some nights and weekends for outreach events

Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed to complete work assignments.

Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom or Teams).

Highly motivated, self-starter with interest in working in a fast-paced organization.

Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Return to Office

CASH has implemented a hybrid work model, which requires staff to be in the office a minimum of two days per week, with the understanding that changes will occur as business dictates.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of 55,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience. This position includes a generous benefits package with an estimated value of $15,000 that includes employer paid health coverage, dental, vision, access to a health spending account, short- and long-term disability, 403B retirement with an employer match, $50 monthly cell phone reimbursement, parking or metro pass.
