Fieldwork can involve hiking or patrolling on various terrains, assessing environmental conditions, conducting public outreach, and responding to emergencies or resource violations. Teams are generally composed of colleagues with similar backgrounds who collaborate on projects, share information, and support each other’s roles. The work can be physically demanding and may require adapting to changing weather conditions, but it also offers the satisfaction of protecting natural resources and serving the public.
