Job Purpose
The Generator Technician Apprentice is a hybrid position designed to develop the skills required to become both a highly qualified Generator Technician and a licensed Journeyman Electrician. This role combines hands-on generator installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair with residential electrical apprenticeship training under the supervision of licensed electricians and experienced generator technicians. This position provides a clear career pathway toward becoming a licensed Journeyman Electrician while building specialized expertise in generator systems and backup power solutions.
Responsibilities by Core Value
Integrity: Follow safety policies, codes, manufacturer specifications, maintain records and report concerns. People: Work with electricians and generator technicians, attend training, communicate professionally. Partnership: Support project teams and customer relationships. Excellence: Assist with generator installations, residential electrical work, maintenance, troubleshooting, schematics, and tool usage. Qualifications
