Job description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing and leading multiple areas of the inbound and/or outbound warehouse operations to achieve company goals, including exceptional retailer service and outstanding operational efficiencies. Areas of responsibility could include but is not limited to Safety, Outbound, Inbound, Inventory, Data, Customer Service and Profiling. The Warehouse Manager will have direct reports of one or more Managers and 5 or more Supervisors. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for providing all levels of staff with leadership, vision, insight, and motivation within their areas of responsibility. The Warehouse Manager will also develop and implement short- and long-term plans for all departments in accordance with Ace objectives and strategic plans and is responsible for the warehouse's success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

Responsible for the overall operation of the inbound and outbound functions to include inventory control and building profiling/space utilization. The Warehouse Manager will assist the Retail Support Manager in the warehouse's strategic direction and communicates initiatives to subordinates in an effective manner to achieve the expected levels of execution.

  • Provide input for annual budgets based on history and future company initiatives.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of warehouse operations to include inbound and outbound activities, inventory, data, customer service and profiling.

  • Develop and implement short and long term goals and objectives for all departments in accordance with Ace objectives and strategic plans.

  • Create opportunities of development for the Managers and Supervisors and set an example by developing self.

  • Support all safety programs

  • Insure all best practice procedures are followed in all areas of responsibility.

  • Insure all headcount and labor hour goals of the warehouse are met.

  • Demonstrates the ability to create a positive employee relations environment which results in high performing teams.

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships between warehouse departments, traffic and human resources.

What you need to succeed:

  • Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.

  • Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years related experience preferably in the field of distribution

  • Demonstrated knowledge of productivity measurement tools

  • Preferred working knowledge of Ace policies and procedures

  • Previous experience managing exempt level Supervisors/Managers

  • Successful management experience involving multiple areas of responsibility with Retail Support

Compensation Details:

$120200 - $155000 per year
