Do you have heavy trucking, railroad, monitoring barge/river traffic experience?

Talis Groups’ client is a well-established, leading industrial facility, dedicated to responsible, sustainable, and compliant production. They are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to maintain safe, compliant, cost effective, and uninterrupted flow of material shipments. This is NOT a warehouse or shipping/receiving role. You MUST have administrative LOGISTICS experience as described below. If this is you, APPLY TODAY!
Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 (based on experience and skills) + a strong benefits package and employee-oriented environment.

HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:
  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound transportation scheduling with all carriers and internal operations teams.
  • Investigate and resolve transportation delays, shipment discrepancies, and logistics disruptions.
  • Track transportation metrics; on-time delivery performance, freight costs, and railcar utilization.
  • Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations and security requirements, as needed. 
  • Ensure hazardous material shipments comply with all regulations.
  • Monitor safety procedures necessary for over the road drivers as it relates to the plant.  
  • Maintain department compliance with local, state and federal EPA regulations.  
  • Ensure Bills of Lading, necessary to move material, are printed. 
  • Issue daily reports on product packing and shipping schedules.
  • Review and verify freight bills for payment.
 
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS:
  • A HS diploma or GED is required, with effective communication and data entry skills.
  • 2+ years of logistics (particularly rail), transportation, shipping, or supply chain experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT and hazardous material shipping regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
