Work you'll do/Responsibilities  

As an OTC (Over-the-Counter) Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving complex data migrations for capital markets and financial services clients. In this client-facing technical role, you will leverage deep functional knowledge of OTC clearing platforms, settlement workflows, and operational processes to ensure seamless transitions during large-scale technology transformations. You will bridge the gap between technical data engineering and business operations, utilizing advanced SQL to interrogate large datasets, conduct functional analysis for reconciliations, manage mandatory tax reporting, and guarantee the integrity of client financial data.

  • OTC Data Migration: Drive end-to-end OTC data migration activities on complex financial services technology programs for clients. Ensure strict data integrity from legacy systems to modern target architectures.
  • Functional Analysis & Reporting: Lead functional analysis for complex financial reconciliations and ensure strict alignment with Tax and Mandatory reporting requirements.
  • OTC Clearing Workflow Management: Navigate and extract data from various OTC Clearing platforms, actively managing and validating data structures related to clearing workflows, settlements, and daily operational processes.
  • Advanced Data Analysis & Resolution: Interrogate large, complex financial datasets to proactively identify data quality issues, validate complex data mappings, and drive swift resolution to maintain project timelines.
  • Technical Translation & Client Communication: Translate highly complex technical findings, SQL query results, and migration roadblocks into clear, actionable business language for non-technical executive client stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or Migration Consultant, with a proven track record delivering data migration activities on financial services or capital markets technology programs.
  • 4+ years of working directly with OTC Clearing platforms. Must possess deep familiarity with their underlying data structures, clearing and settlement workflows, and daily operational processes.
  • 4+ years of experience working with SQL & Data Analysis Proficiency: SQL skills. Demonstrated ability to write complex queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across massive enterprise datasets.
  • Data Analysis & Interrogation: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to independently interrogate large and complex datasets, identify data quality issues, and drive resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
