Job description

Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Springfield, MO

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) and will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to individuals recovering from various conditions including strokes, brain injuries, and complex orthopedic injuries.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide therapy interventions that promote rehabilitation and improve functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Use advanced therapeutic equipment to enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on rehabilitation processes and strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting.
  • Experience with common diagnoses including neuro, orthopedic, debility, and cardiac conditions.
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and work ethic are essential.
  • Required education: Appropriate degree and licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
