Job description

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Osteopathic Family Medicine physician to serve as Program Director for its Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. This role is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed facility recognized as a "Best Hospital" in Central Florida. The position involves a balance of clinical teaching and administrative duties within a progressive training program.

Practice Info

  • Based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed facility.
  • The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at East Orlando is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession.
  • Teaches eight new residents each academic year, along with two new residents each year in the ONMM3 residency.
  • Main medical school affiliation is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Opportunity to develop a private patient base seeing his/her own patients in dedicated time each week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Program Director for the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Provide clinical teaching in an outpatient setting.
  • Teach on the inpatient ONMM consult service (for qualified candidates).
  • Develop a private patient base.
  • Emphasize clinical teaching skills focused on preventative and evidence-based medicine.
  • Increase academic activity including research, posters, and presentations.
