Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager (OSS) to lead the delivery and implementation of an Operational Support System within a complex, vendor-driven environment. This role goes beyond coordination-you will actively drive deliverables, resolve blockers, manage acceptance processes, and contribute to technical workstreams.

You will serve as a critical link between internal cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, operations, service delivery, and network operations) and external partners. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with program delivery and technical depth, able to interpret architecture documents, support testing activities, and ensure successful execution across all project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive delivery obligations across all OSS program milestones
  • Maintain implementation plans and critical path tracking, identifying and resolving risks proactively
  • Manage deliverable acceptance processes, including review coordination and formal sign-offs
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, validation of acceptance criteria, coordination, and final approvals
  • Serve as the primary operational interface with external vendors and partners
  • Identify scope gaps and manage change requests through appropriate review and approval workflows
  • Monitor service level commitments and initiate escalation when needed
  • Review technical deliverables to ensure alignment with functional and operational requirements
  • Coordinate infrastructure readiness activities with internal technical teams
  • Support data validation activities, including KPI definitions, configuration baselines, and monitoring thresholds
  • Contribute to requirements gathering, use case documentation, and acceptance criteria development
  • Identify integration dependencies and mitigate risks impacting delivery timelines
  • Maintain program documentation, including decision logs, meeting notes, action trackers, and status reports
  • Manage delivery tracking tools and ensure visibility into progress across workstreams
  • Ensure knowledge capture and documentation completeness across the program lifecycle

Qualificationsย

Education:ย

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Experience:ย

  • A minimum of 5+ years managing complex software or network infrastructure programs
  • Experience working with vendor-delivered projects, including milestone tracking, acceptance workflows, and SLA management
  • Prior technical experience (e.g., software engineering, systems engineering, network operations) is highly valued
  • Familiarity with OSS domains such as Fault Management, Performance Management, Configuration Management, Inventory, and Provisioning
  • Understanding of contract frameworks, change management processes, and service delivery governance
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD concepts
  • Experience with project tracking and collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications:ย

  • Experience working in telecommunications or large-scale network environments
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks (e.g., TM Forum standards)
  • Exposure to OSS/NMS platforms or monitoring systems
  • Experience supporting system integrations and API-driven architectures

Soft Skills:

  • Strong ownership mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and track commitments with precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build structure and clarity in evolving or ambiguous environments
  • Comfort engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Technology Stack:

  • Project & Program Management: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project or similar tools
  • OSS/NMS Platforms: Familiarity with industry-standard systems
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (working knowledge), Kubernetes (basic understanding), CI/CD concepts
  • Integration & APIs: REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging systems
  • Observability Tools: Monitoring and logging platforms (e.g., Grafana, ELK, or similar)
  • Documentation & Diagramming: Confluence, diagramming tools
  • Version Control: Git (basic knowledge)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a standard office or remote environment and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to participate in occasional after-hours support or incident response activities
