Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to install, service, inspect, troubleshoot, and program commercial fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial fire alarm service, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of fire and life safety codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, inspect, test, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Program and troubleshoot fire alarm control panels and field devices.
  • Diagnose and repair system issues in accordance with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes.
  • Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling.
  • Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls.
  • Complete inspection reports, service documentation, and work orders accurately.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding system status and repairs.
  • Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on commercial fire alarm experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and programming.
  • Experience with commercial fire alarm systems and low-voltage wiring.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and after-hours service calls.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level II – Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)
