Safety Manager - Concrete Construction

Silver Spring, Maryland

$100,000 - $130,000 DOE + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits


A well-established concrete contractor with a strong reputation across Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia is looking to add a Safety Manager to its growing team. With a long history of delivering structural and site concrete packages across commercial, education, government and infrastructure projects, they have built a strong pipeline of repeat business and offer excellent long-term career progression.


The Role

As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture across multiple active construction projects. Working closely with field leadership and operations, you'll ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies and industry best practices while promoting a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.
  • Develop, implement and maintain company safety programs and procedures.
  • Lead site safety orientations and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses and safety concerns, identifying corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to proactively address safety risks.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports and training records.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all projects.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience.
  • Experience within concrete construction, commercial construction or heavy civil construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, incident investigations and safety training.
  • OSHA 30 required. CHST, CSP or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
